Reagan told a news conference that he brought Thieu a message from the chief
executive saying there would be "no change in the course of policy of our

Pres.Nguyen Van Thieu in Independence Palace here May 17th following his arrival
for a short, secrecy-shrouded visit with top South Vietnamese and American
officials in the war zone. Agnew's trip to Saigon served the purposes both of
showing American determination to aid South Vietnam and of gathering information
